Malaysian Palm oil inventories expanded from 5.5% to 2.63 million

bursa malaysia stock picksPalm oil inventories in Malaysia climbed to an all-time high in September as production of the world's most- used cooking oil stayed near a record.Stockpiles expanded 5.5% to 2.63 million metric tons from 2.49 million tons in August, data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board showed Monday. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey last week was for reserves to jump to 2.70 million tonnes. Inventories at the end of September surpassed the previous record in December 2012 by 910 tonnes.

Malaysia share prices opened lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 3.33 points to 1,703.210.Volume was 71.8 million lots worth RM26.04 million.Gainers outnumbered losers 135 to 81.
MALAYSIAN shares ended higher on Monday with the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index adding 3.32 points to close at 1,709.86.Some 2.09 billion lots, valued at RM2.20 billion were traded. Gainers numbered 430 while losers numbered 404.
